Turn articles into downloadable MP3s with Codeep Voice. The audio is made in your browser, on your own computer. Free, with no API key and no usage fees.
A WordPress plugin that turns a post into a real MP3 in a human-sounding voice. The recording is made by the site owner's own computer, in the browser, and saved to the media library as an ordinary file. Free, with no limits, on WordPress.org.
An upcoming paid add-on for the free plugin, installed next to it on the same WordPress site. It adds the Piper library of 177 voices in 53 languages, recording a whole archive at once, recording on publish, a pronunciation dictionary, a podcast feed for Apple Podcasts and Spotify, and a player you can style. Pro is not available to buy yet. The free plugin is available now.

No usage counters, no "anonymous statistics", no update check that quietly doubles as a ping. We do not want to know how you use what we made.
If the code for something ships in a free plugin, that something works. There is no disabled code in our plugins waiting for payment. A paid key buys one of two things: an add-on you install next to the free plugin, or work done on our servers. Everything the free plugin does, it keeps doing, with or without a key.
Where speed depends on your machine, we do not print a figure that would be false on half of them. We give you a page that measures yours instead.
